Je ne vis plus, Je la joue

These sentences that Lv entitles “Les Paroles” are derived from her personal experiences, each of which incarnates a specific significance from her different phases of life. The first Parole was conceived in 2015 along with the exhibition ICI; the sentence was “Je ne vis plus, je la joue. (I don’t live anymore, I play it)”. As an individual, Lv endows every experience with uniqueness and exclusive beauty, the ensemble of which compose a complete film of herself. Thus, these sentences are deployed in a way similar to the flows in silent films. The idea of Les Paroles is retaken in the same year’s exhibition Y in Bages, France: a poem of Lv, La Fée en Pierre (The Fairy in Stone), was thus transformed into a poetic video. These paroles reify a world that belongs properly to the artist's self.
