Tiny things
you know me well, but I know you less;
I know you better, but you know me nothing !
Good morning!
Well done!
Better place!
So much people!
More desire,
Most important,
Little Love.
Less Hope.
Tiny gift for somebody
But nobody knows
Nothing we could do !
Anything you like!
Everything you wants!
Everyplace you gone !
Someone you know !
Everybody see to you !

Plaster
installed in the space of exhibition
2009
我做了很多白色的部分,它们有点像脱落的墙皮。我把它们分别放置在展厅的很多地点,就像这个作品的名字一样,没有一个的它。让观看的人很难看到一个整体的“它”。这就是这个”它”的存在方式。

Painting the City
Painting the City
12’06”
Video
2006
I observe the city. I made a film in 2004
which is related to underpasses in the city. I took a lot of photograph as
well.
A city is where people congregate; its
changes reflect the characteristics of modern civilization. I grew up in an old
style street in Beijing, so I’ve witnessed how this city changes from old to new.
When a familiar is constantly changing, it becomes strange again. A big city
attracts many settlers and observers. Many of the big city around the world
show the same characteristic; big avenues, high-rises, thriving transport and
communication systems. They are almost as precise as a computer motherboard. The
faster the pace of modernization, the more anonymous a city becomes by losing
its original uniqueness. Then there’s the attempt to create a new uniqueness,
like all those strange-looking high-rises that sprout up everywhere. When that happen,
the modernized city becomes an advertisement to attract people, who become its
slaves. Most of the people in the modernized city are like laborers on a
production line.
In this work I try to ask the question “what
is the real world?”. People can use their camera catch a photo from the “real world”,
but maybe the “real” is just disappear. So I want to use art way to present this
process : there always has a parallel between the sense we can see and the
being we involves in .

Seven Days
Seven days
6’31”
video
2006
According to the Bible, God created
universe and creatures in seven days. God created man and woman, and after that
human and all animals increase gradually in number. There are different color,
different nation, and different language in the world. But in our real world,
man and woman keep their obviously characters, and will not affected by the
“same” trend. In humanly world, man and woman as a balanced power exist. They
are in depending on each other, and to be confined each other either. They
construct the basic unit in our human life. They will not be assimilated each
other or become one’s mirror.
In some sense, they are holly opposite to
each other although they can not apart; they have to living together and create
together. Opposite accompany identical.
